Of course there are also many who want to congratulate the 'birthday boy' on this special occasion. These include composer colleagues and admirers of Johann Strauss such as Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi, and equally his most important advocates of light music, Jacques Offenbach, as well as the 'Danish Strauss' Hans Christian Lumbye.
