Description
American pianist Angie Zhang was among the most experienced and mature participants in the 2nd International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments. She was born in 1996, so at the age of 27 she already had most of the stages
in her education behind her, as well as a multitude of artistic experiences. In her official biographical note, she stresses her wide range of interests: she is a pianist, harpsichordist and organist. She is interested in both historical performance and playing on modern instruments. She began official performances at the age of ten, when she won a place at the prestigious Juilliard School of Music. She has performed with 25 orchestras and won prizes in more than 20 performance competitions, including the Honens International Piano Competition in Canada (2022).
