  • Description

Duncan is one of Scotland's most sensitive songwriters and accomplished performers, here is joined by some of Scotland's finest traditional musicians.

'Colourblind' is the superb and long awaited follow-up album to 'All You Need to Know' from Duncan McCrone. Duncan is no new comer to music, he is a Glasgow-born singer-songwriter with over thirty-five years experience of live performance both solo and with a variety of traditional bands. This is Duncan's most ambitious and lavishly produced album to date, it is an eclectic set of original songs, traditional Scottish works and some very carefully chosen covers by top songwriters of the past and present. The original songs were co-written with best friend, Cy Jack, who is also his main musical collaborator. Duncan's songs are mostly story-based, focusing on his own life, his love of Glasgow and the West of Scotland, and his genuine love of meeting people and seeing new places.

Stunning performances by Stevie Lawrence, Chris Stout, Finlay Macdonald, Ray Laidlaw, Mike Bryan, Dougie Stevenson, Sandy Brechin, John Goldie, Allan Cuthbertson and Paul Edwards as well as a guest appearance on backing vocals from Duncan's old band The Clydesiders – Sandy Kelso, John Graham and Dave Whitton and Duncan's daughter Julie help create a truly special album.
