Description
The recording was made during three different concerts of the festival "Chopin and His Europe", but the program of the album is connected by the words "Poland" and "Polonia". The work created as first is the overture "Polonia" by Richard Wagner. The solidarity with Poland was shown by Edward Elgar as well, who was inspired by the activity of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, writing the orchestral prelude Polonia Op. 76 with themes from D?browski's Mazurka, Warszawianka or Fryderyk Chopin's works. The last element of the album is a one-part Polish Fantasy Op. 19 by Paderewski, filled with the dance rhythms.
