Description
This release marks the recording debut of a truly outstanding artist.
Pianist Ryoko Nuruki comes from the city of Kagoshima, on the Southern tip of Japan, but now resides in Nice.
She is a discovery of Sir Ali, a well known jazz journalist and one of the founders of French radio network TSF.
Ryoko's skills emanate from a classical background - she is at once both dynamically percussive, building impressive crescendi, yet incredibly sensitive with a magical, intimate touch for bringing out the true melodies and harmonies as she caresses each note on her sensitive ballads.
She has an amazing rapport with vitruoso bassist Marc Peillon and the dynamic drums of Le Fakir Abou making this trio in the real sense of the word - a truly integrated band who play perfectly for and with each other.
