  • Description

Charlie Dore, winner of the 2012's Indie Acoustic Best Lyrics Award, will release a brand new EP, 'Finally, a Limousine'' on 7th Jan '13. Described as "Joyous, bleak and curious", the 4 tracks range from the subversively upbeat title track, 'Finally, a Limousine', already gaining support countrywide from BBC radio, to the haunting Twin Peaksean ''Fly, 9th July', co-written and produced with long-time collaborator Julian Littman, to 'Lost on South Toulouse', written with Grammy-Award winning Terry Britten, composer of 'What's Love Got To Do With It'. This song, a ballad played on tenor ukulele, here sounding like a Celtic harp, is a comment on the aftermath of the New Orleans floods and has just been cut by France's Diamond-selling Nolwenn Leroy as 'Lost Again'. The EP closes with a rolling Hawaiian reggae version of George Harrison's 'Here Comes The Sun', choc full of Dore's trademark multi-layered harmonies. Originally recorded for Mojo's '09 tribute album to Abbey Road, the song graced their most successful ever covermount album but has never been given a commercial release until now.
