    Metier Records is proud to announce the release of composer Samuel Andreyev's original score for Soudain (All of a Sudden), from Oscar-winning director Ryusuke Hamaguchi. The film was selected as a Palme d'Or nominee at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, and its two female leads, Virginie Efira and Tao Okamoto (who appear on the cover), shared the Cannes Film Festival Prize for Best Actress. Adapted from Makiko Miyano and Maho Isono's novel You and I - The Illness Suddenly Gets Worse, and set in a Paris care home, Soudain is a film about love and mortality, compassion and hope, living in the moment, and the connections that sustain us. Andreyev's score features only three performers, with Samuel Andreyev himself playing the keyboards alongside longtime collaborators, flutist Ayako Okobu and percussionist Olivier Maurel.
