    Ana was born in Mesteacan - Valea Chioarului, a village in Transylvania, Romania, in the regio of Maramures where several folklore influences meet: Salaj, Chioar, Codru and Lapus.

    She sings accompanied by accordion, violin, braci (a type of violin), flute, taragot (a type of clarinet), zongora (classical guitar) and double bass.
