  • Description

With "Descending Into Madness", the band's third full-length album, Zornheym present a prequel to the dark and multilayered story surrounding the institution "Zornheim", its inmates, and its doctors - in a world where it is never entirely clear who is actually insane. "In a time obsessed with speed and instant results, we consciously chose substance over shortcuts. This album was created over years of relentless writing, arranging, and refining. Every decision carried weight. Every layer was carefully crafted. Nothing was rushed, nothing left to chance - until the vision was complete," the band comments. "'Somewhere Far Beyond' is the first glimpse into this new chapter: a prequel that takes us back to the moment Dr. Bettelheim first arrives at Zornheim - long before madness fully unfolds. The track captures the epic choral intensity that defines the album and pushes our sound further than ever before, with every band member performing at their absolute peak." Zornheym was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, as the ambitious vision of its creator, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn (ex-Dark Funeral), with the goal of realizing his concept of the ultimate concept band: a complete fusion of music, narration, and visual storytelling. Since its formation, the band has set out to redefine the classic "metal meets symphony" approach, developing a sound that blends cinematic orchestration with a powerful heavy metal foundation and strong influences from melodic death metal - driven by a distinct sense of epic, memorable melodies. At the core of Zornheym lies a dark, ever-expanding narrative universe. Each album unfolds within the walls of the psychiatric institution Zornheim - a place filled with mystery, madness, and horror - where the institution itself becomes a central character. Tracklisting>> 1.Prologue - From The Depths Of Selasee 2.Deus Rex 3.Somewhere Far Beyond 4.Deep Below 5.Anneliese 6.Alone In The Dark 7.Gallows Oak 8.The Funeral March 9.Descending 10.Come Sweet Death CD Bonus Tracks: 11.The Forebonding CD bonus track 12.None For All
