Description
Past and present members of Last Choirs Standing stars Ysgol Glanaethwy present their new album including Bohemian Rhapsody; The Way Old Friends Do and Son of a Preacher Man.
Since Glanaethwy's success in the TV series Last Choir Standing the choir's schedule has been full to overflowing. They've received a very warm reception in all corners of the land, and had the opportunity to sing in great venues with first rate artists and orchestras. They've also recorded a series of six programmes on TV for S4C, and most of the songs on their new CD is a product of that series. They're now looking forward to the Choral Olympics in Shaoxing, China, where choirs from around 60 countries will be competing, and consider it a great honour to represent Wales amongst the world's best.
Da Capo was formed in the Spring of 2009 from amongst ex-students of Ysgol Glanaethwy, to take part in the Glanaethwy TV series for S4C. Working again with these talented young people was such a joyous experience that they decided to keep on singing and prepare for a re-launch in the autumn of 2010.
This is a band of dedicated performers who are currently working on a live show which will introduce an exciting new element into the light entertainment scene in Wales.
