Two classic albums available together for the first time "Love Wars" originally released in 1983 & "Radio M.U.S.C. Man" in 1985, Featuring the singles 'Love Wars', 'Baby I'm Scared Of You', 'Express Myself' and 'Strange And Funny'.
This Double CD also features two bonus tracks of 'Love Wars'; the extended vocal mix and the Instrumental Dub.
Also featured is Womack & Womack's version of the Teddy Pendergrass classic 'Love T.K.O.' a song they wrote, plus covers of the Rolling Stones 'Angie' and The Beatles 'Here Comes The Sun'.
Cecil Womack was originally in a Band called The Soul Stirrers who regularly opened for future soul legend Sam Cooke, the Band changed their name to The Valentinos, and recorded for Cooke's SAR label. The Valentinos featured Cecil's older brother Bobby Womack on lead vocals. After a previous relationship Cecil married Sam Cooke's daughter Linda, and they started writing songs together for Philadelphia International, having success with The O'Jay's, Patti LaBelle and Teddy Pendergrass.
Cecil & Linda started recording "Love Wars" in 1983 for Elektra Records with Producer Stewart Levine who had produced Simply Red and The Crusaders.
This reissue features sleeve notes from MOJO's Lois Wilson.
