Description
• Original first UK release of the influential 80s synth techno pop duo Vicious Pink and their self-titled album from 2018.
• Featuring the nine tracks of the original album including ‘CCCan’t You See’ which reached the top 30 in the US pop chart in 1987.
• Plus seven bonus tracks taken from the band’s four singles during their spell with Parlophone, including four versions of the band’s best known single ‘CCCan’t You See’ and their ‘Fetish’ and ‘Take Me Now’ singles plus ‘I Confess’ from 1985.
Vicious Pink were Brian Moss and Josephine Warden. Hailing from Leeds they emerged from the vibrant local music scene in the early 1980’s after starting as backing vocalists for Soft Cell. Originally Vicious Pink Phenomenon, the band shortened their name and went on to record with respected producer Tony Mansfield. The band released four singles for Parlophone with ‘CCCan’t You See’ enjoying a second release in 1985 after its original release in 1984.
The band made music for the clubs and enjoyed widespread support on dancefloors either side of the Atlantic. This seminal collection of the band’s work is a great example of the emerging electronic movement within the UK in the early 1980’s. -
