    Since the release of the triple album British Traditional Jazz - A Potted History LAKE has released a series of CDs looking at different aspects of the UK Traditional Jazz scene between 1936 to 1963. The series now arrives at Vol. 7. This one is devoted to bands specialising in Chicago-Dixieland styles. Although the band names might not be all that familiar some of the individual players are: Johnny Dankworth, Humphrey Lyttelton, Kenny Ball, Harry Gold, Alex Welsh, Vic Ash, Don Lusher et al. Within the genre there is a variety of approaches to the style from freewheeling Chicago to arranged Dixieland.
