Description
Tommy Guerrero's 2023 LP 'Amber Of Memory', which seems him present 12 glorious slices of trippy instrumental psych rock.
Recorded during the dog days of the pandemic, professional skater-turned-indie rocker Tommy Guerrero has returned with an all-new solo album, a new twist on his sound he's amusingly dubbed, "Surf Goth". Featuring 70's drum machines, trimmed-out baritone guitars, verbed-out synth pads, warbly keys, and a slight 80's sensibility - the album is a look toward new directions of life.
"The idea was to make something that would diminish the heavy times we were all experiencing in 2020/21. Something perhaps uplifting with a hint of beauty... or at least a respite from the ugliness outside. Not sure any of this was achieved but it's a bit of a departure from my normal mode/style... which is necessary from time to time." - Tommy Guerrero
