Description
The BGP 45 series returns with five of the most sought-after titles from the world of funk clubbing - records that would set you back several thousand pounds to collect as originals. All in all a pretty damn good 2011 selection of BGP on 45. A future BGP classic we think, the Phillips Brothers' 'I Got Hurt (Pt 1)' is one of the most sought classics from the deep funk era. It's an incredibly hard item to track down on its original release, which now sells for upwards of £400. When we copied the tapes a few years back, we found that a 'Pt 2' had been produced but never released. We've put it together with 'Pt 1' for its debut on 7-inch vinyl. By Dean Rudland
