Description
The New York Jazz Guitar Ensemble are Bob Ward,Paul Myers,Scott Hardy,Bill Bickford,Peter Leitch (guitars), Steve Alcott (bass) and Taro Okamoto (drums).
This amazing guitar band was the brain child of Kansas born guitarist Bob Ward.
Bob studied at the renowned North Texas State where he practiced to Tony Rizzi arrangements in the school's five guitar ensemble.He moved to New York in 1981 and spent time gigging with sax giant Warne Marsh and organ great Jack McDuff.
What started out as an informal gathering of friends developed rapidly and achieved precise technique and togetherness.The album was recorded in 1985 when the unit had been together three years and was at it's peak.
