Description
Singers Dolores Keane and her brother Seán come from a family which is steeped in traditional music and song. On this album, in addition to Dolores and Seán, we hear their sisters Teresa and Christina, brothers Matt, Pat and Noel, as well as their mother Bridie, and their father Matt. Truly, a family album!
The Keane Family hail from Caherlistrane, Co. Galway, an area in which Mrs Costelloe compiled her famous collection 'Amhráin Mhuigh Seola' (1923). Their songs are unaccompanied and are sung in English or in Irish. John Faulkner and Garry Ó Briain join in the music making. -
