Description
The Stimmung Trio was born from the meeting between Christophe Giovannetti, violinist, great chamber musician and Michael Levinas, who leads his career as a concert pianist and composer. They are joined by the cellist Raphael Chretien, winner of several international competitions, who devotes himself to an intense career as a concert and chamber musician. The Stimmung Trio is thus complete, with three artists recognized in international musical life. These three established artistic personalities have shared the wealth of their individual experiences to breathe new life into the interpretation of the trio repertoire that extends from the so-called classical era to today's music. One of the priorities and singularities of the Stimmung Trio consists on the one hand in reflecting on the baroque origins of the classical and romantic repertoire by arousing meetings and residencies with groups of artists playing this same repertoire on period instruments (so-called old violin making), on the other hand in arousing creations that open up future perspectives for this group. Among the objectives pursued by the Stimmung Trio since its creation, there has been a priority given in particular to the complete corpus of Beethoven and the great trios of French music of the 20th century.
