STEVEN WILSON REISSUES THE HIGHLY RATED 'HAND.CANNOT.ERASE.' ON CD VIA TRANSMISSION

"Hand.Cannot.Erase.' Is an album rooted in sonic & spiritual modernity... an inventive blend of bleak & brooding industrial soundscapes" ***** The Guardian

Steven Wilson, four-time Grammy nominee, multi-instrumentalist, producer & founder member of Porcupine Tree, released his critically acclaimed fourth solo album 'Hand.Cannot.Erase.' in 2015.

The album's commercial successes culminated in reaching #13 in the UK album charts, as well as #2 in the Netherlands, #3 in Germany, #4 in Finland, #10 in Poland, #11 in Norway & #12 in Austria. As well as a good reception from fans, 'Hand.Cannot.Erase.' was well supported in the press, with the Financial Times (UK) calling the album "richly textured & forceful... and tender treatments of the theme of loss", Classic Rock (UK) claiming it to be "A tour de force of experimental music making... 8/10" & Metal Hammer (DE) described it as "another masterstroke... 6/7."

Recorded at London's illustrious Air Studios, Steven reunited Guthrie Govan (guitar), Adam Holzman (keyboards), Theo Travis (flute / sax), Nick Beggs (bass / stick) & Marco Minneman (drums).

This mid-price CD edition of 'H.C.E.' will be presented in a digipack sleeve with an 8-page booklet featuring artwork by long time Porcupine Tree & Steven Wilson artist & designer Carl Glover (in conjunction with images from Hajo Mueller & Lasse Hoile).

"The basic story, or concept of the record - it's about a woman growing up, who goes "to live in the city, very isolated & she disappears one day & no one notices. There's more to it than that. Now, what's interesting about this story is that your initial reaction when you hear a story like that is, 'Ah, little old bag lady that no one notices, no one cares about.' She wasn't like that. She was young, she was popular, she was attractive, she had many friends, she had family, but for whatever reason, nobody missed her for three years." - Steven Wilson
