Slovenia guitarist Samo Salamon leads his quartet featuring the unusual instrumentation of two alto saxophonists and drummer, but no bassist. The quartet includes US saxophonist John O'Gallagher whose album for Whirlwind Recordings received rave reviews from both sides of the Atlantic.
On '2Alto' Salamon and his quartet perform ten original compositions by the leader, who has been described as "One of the more exciting and inventive improvising artists...Salamon's stylistic modus operandi, coupled with massive chops has earned him prominence within global, progressive-jazz circles."
