Chick Corea as a composer, like Chopin or Debussy, perhaps no one had ever considered him, since his name is linked above all to Jazz, expecially improvisation. This album collects some première recordings by a composer who for too long has been considered an expression of jazz music alone. It is a tribute to an artist able to blend diff erent genres in his compositions and combine the experiences of giants of the classical repertoire such as Bach and Debussy, with those of Bartok and Ligeti. He himself, with his phrase "This is...music", seems do not want to categorize his compositions either in one or in another genre.
