This essential collector's edition contains 29 remastered studio tracks from Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel's early years, consisting of a variety of songs they made between 1957 and 1962. In addition to the seminal project as Tom & Jerry, Garfunkel released some singles under the name Artie Garr. Simon began writing songs independently and recording under such stage-names as True Taylor, Tico & The Triumphs, and Jerry Landis. Some of the material here isn't available on other collections, nor have these seminal recordings ever been previously compiled on one CD. Although Simon & Garfunkel eventually went on to greater commercial success in the mid- and late '60s, all of these wonderful songs form the building blocks of their musical legacy.
