Description
Based on Fellini's film 8½, Nine was turned into a Tony Award winning Broadway show in 1982 by Maury Yeston who wrote both the lyrics and the score. This recording features highlights from the concert in aid of Crusaid at the Royal Albert Hall in 1992 starring Jonathan Pryce as Guido Contini, the film director who suffers a mid-life crisis as he begins work on a new film.
In the recording Jonathan Pryce is joined by a host of West End, Broadway and Hollywood stars: Elaine Paige, Ann Crumb (Aspects of Love, London), Anita Dobson (Eastenders, BBC), Liliane Montevecchi (Daddy Long Legs, MGM) and a company of 150 West End singers and actors. -
