Description
Luke Doucet is the international man of mystery who likes cowboy music and fitted plaid shirts. He’s a James Bond meets John Wayne kinda deal – whose secret weapon is guitar slinging. A true patriot heart with a love for the country that spans coast to coast, he was born in Halifax, raised in Winnipeg, spent some formative years in Vancouver and calls Toronto his hometown. Touted as a ‘songwriter’s songwriter’ (NOW Magazine), Luke has made four albums as a solo act and three with rockabilly-surf-noir trio Veal as their tightly wound frontman.
With this new release Luke has got an axe to grind, and we are the better for it. “Arguably the best guitarist in Canada, says the Toronto Star, and now we get a chance to see what they mean. The album is a full blown balls-to-the-wall guitar record. It stands as solid as granite and stretches as far as sundown at the end of a good western film, pinning him up alongside legends like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Muddy Waters as a masterful musician and incomparable guitarist.
