Two guitar masters - different roots, different directions, different social mileau - but undoubtably two masters in their different ways.
Lucky Peterson started as a child progidy under Willie Dixon's wing and has developed into 'the man who would be king', hovering with Joe Louis Walker as numbers 3 and 4 in the ranks of blues stardom behind B.B. and Buddy.
Andy Aledort is the 'guitar player's guitarist', he has performed and recorded with some of the greatest on the current blues and rock scene with a second career as journalist and guitar instructional whizz: Andy is senior editor at Guitar World mag and has authored over 200 instructional and transcription books as well as producing a series of DVDs.
This is a crank it up, play it loud record. but it's not an uptempo rave up item - the songs and instrumentals are modern, thoughtful, and creative. It ain't the same old stuff, it's blues with the influences and the passing of the musical years showing on the outside.
