    This set presents Louis Smith's first two albums as a leader in their entireties, Here Comes Louis Smith (Blue Note BLP 1584), and Smithville (Blue Note BLP 1594), as well as an all-star LP that featured him among other talented Memphis jazzmen (including his cousin and fellow trumpeter Booker Little), Down Home Reunion (United Artists UAS 5029). Smith sat out on two of the four extended tracks from that album, but they have been added here as a bonus, in order to include the complete session. Smith's only other known recordings before the late 1970s were his participation on Kenny Burrell's Blue Lights, and a recently unearthed Newport. Includes a 20-page booklet.
