  • Description

Lisasinson is a graphic and musical project that started in November 2018 at the Fine Arts campus in Valencia. They quickly found their identity: punk drum lines, pop guitar melodies, brazen lyrics, or as they like to call it "punky pop". To call a first album "Un Ano De Cambios" (a Year Of Changes) is of itself an example of how fast things move. And somehow that's how Lisasinson's trajectory has been, both personally and professionally: singles, EPs, tours, collaborations, side projects, changes in line-up. That's how Miriam and Paula's world has been spinning up to this album, a debut that already shows maturity. A word that feels a bit inappropriate for a post-millennial punk pop album. But in terms of sound and intelligence in songwriting, it's well-deserved. And in terms of energy, we don't even really need to say it, it is overflowing with uncontrollable juvenile electricity. Their new songs produced by Carlos Hernandez confirm their maturity with a more solid sound, but maintaining the spontaneity, and where their previous collaborations with Valencia's Toxic Pop collective (and Miriam's, with her personal project, Laborde) make their sound richer, giving it a more danceable touch. And above all, it's a full-length that is definitely epic. Just like their concerts.
