Description
"Everybody’s dancin’" was by the time of the release a far underrated album and did not get the attention it deserved. It was released in between the periods of the successful early/mid seventies and their second life in the early eighties. The album is compromise between hard funk and late seventies pop music. The eight minutes long title track "Everybody’s dancin’" is an extravaganza, adding strings and smooth production to a great hook. The song "Big Chief Funkum" does for Native Americans what "Open Sesame" does for Arabs: put comical stereotypes to a huge beat. "You deserve a break today" and "Dancin’shoes" are strong funk tracks. But there are also a couple of strong ballads on this album, so don’t miss "Stay Awhile" and "I like Music". The two albums "Everybody’s dancin’ "and "The Force" are their only albums which have never been released on CD before.
