While her work as an actress would precede and have greater longevity than her career as a vocalist, it wasn't until she released her debut album Julie Is Her Name, that London truly became a household name. No one could have imagined the album's success considering that it was the first LP of a still relatively unknown figure, released on a new label, and featuring only guitar and bass accompaniment.
