Puerto Rican-American Joe Cuba (1931-2009) is widely regarded as the "Father of Latin boogaloo". This CD presents the legendary conga drummer's first three albums: Merengue Loco (Embajador Records 6002), on which he shared the spotlight with Sonny Rossi; the self-titled Joe Cuba (Embajador Records 6003), and Cha Cha Cha - You'll Feel on Top of the World (Mardi-Gras Records LP-5013; aka Out of This World Cha Cha), which marked Cuba's second release with Rossi.
