This album presents works dedicated to the Cracow Duo premiered between 2015 and 2022. Though these works are recent compositions, in many aspects they turn to the past - in Romantic melodies or harmonies based on neotonality. There are also more contemporary sounds, completing the picture of the trends prevailing in 21st-century chamber music, traced through the prism of the output of talented Polish composers.
The expressive possibilities of the cello and piano, their lyrical and virtuoso potential and above all the performance artistry of the duo present on the stages for over twenty years became an inspiration for exceptional but concise works. The artists once again prove that they are an extraordinary team sharing the understanding of music, as far as the dynamics, colours and time are concerned.
