Description
By 1963 the Ian Campbell Folk Group had grown into one of the British folk scene's defining groups, remaining favourite folk performers for many years. It was also in '63 that they first toured abroad, finding a 'second home' in Denmark, a country that was important to the group's development, figuring prominently in their history. After many years concern over the group's clean, disciplined studio releases, in January 1974 Danish promoter Walther Klaebel determined to record them live, resulting in this set of 13 tracks. By this time the original line-up had changed, singers Ian and Lorna Campbell here being accompanied by Brian Clark (vocals,guitar) and John Dunkerley (vocals,banjo,guitar). A rousing performance that is much livelier than many of their studio recordings.
