Something Heavy Going Down is a live album by Golden Earring from December 1984. This concert album followed three years after the previous live LP. In the meantime, two major international hits (Twilight Zone and When the Lady Smiles) had been added and the band had completed two American tours. Something Heavy Going Down therefore mainly contains material from the last two studio albums Cut and N.E.W.S., apart from the hit Radar Love. The band is clearly influenced musically by all kinds of electronic music that was in vogue in the mid-1980s. Unlike the band's other live releases, Something Heavy Going Down flopped in the charts.
