  • Description

180g premium vinyl cut and pressed at Pallas - Gatefold sleeve and LP size booklet. "The quintet was defined exactly like this: "supergroup". There was Danilo Rea at the piano, who for jazz music had given up his ambition of becoming a classical music concert performer to follow me with the New Perigeo, Roberto Gatto who ensured a dynamic and modern drumming, Paolo Fresu who was still at the beginning, but who was already one of the best trumpeters among the youngsters. With my music, from a certain point of view, Paolo was moving into a new territory for him. Then there was Massimo Urbani on alto sax who had been an infant prodigy of Italian jazz. I had played and experimented with him a lot over the years. I played live with this quintet for quite some time. We then arrived at the time of the recording that we were a close-knit group."- GIOVANNI TOMMASO
