Description
Eddie Seaman, originally from Edinburgh, started playing the pipes when he was at school, and then progressed to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland from 2009 to 2013. Over the course of his professional life he has worked with a variety of musicians, bands and theatre projects and has had the opportunity to travel to America and Russia, as well as countless dates throughout Europe. He was a member of the group Barluath, nominated for 'Folk Band of The Year' at the MG Alba Scots Music Awards in 2016, plus he was in a duo collaboration with guitarist and singer Luc McNally, which led to the release of the album 'Tirade' in 2016. Although now resident in Glasgow, Eddie coaches the Preston Lodge High School Novice Pipe Band, which was nominated for 'Pipe Band of The Year' at the 2019 Scots Trad Awards. He is widely in demand as both a tutor and performer. He was accompanied in the studio by the very talented, multi-instrumentalist, Aaron Jones. John O'Reagan wrote of Eddie in the Living Tradition: "Individual expertise and command of mood by the bucketful." -
