A Jamaican singer who first made a name for herself during reggae's rocksteady era of the 1960s, Dawn Penn gave the reggae world a pleasant surprise when she returned to the charts in the early '90s with a dancehall-influenced remake of her signature classic song "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)".
Penn's song used elements of American R&B singer Willie Cobbs's song You Don't Love Me (1960), which itself is based on R&B singer Bo Diddley's She's Fine, She's Mine (1955)
The song has been sampled in 23 songs and covered in eight, including tracks by Rihanna, Eve, Ghostface Killah, Usher, and Alicia Keys.
