Prudencio is one of the most important composers in Latin America. In his works for piano, there is a predominant search for melody – expressive, sincere, and completely unchained. It is long overdue that the widely unknown music of South America becomes part of our European concert repertoire, and this album makes a strong case for it.
Daniel Anez and Cergio Prudencio have worked in collaboration for many years. Anez now presents a comprehensive selection of Prudencio's piano works written between 1994 and 2021.
