Following on from their Britain’s Got Talent success in 2015, the 160 strong choir release a brand new recording featuring the songs Benedictus, The Prayer, Haleliwia and other uplifting classics.
Ysgol Glanaethwy, the independent performing arts school in Bangor in North West Wales has now become synonymous with great singing and although the choir's members constantly change the standard remains a constant. The exuberance of their singing is further enhanced by their ability to tackle many musical genres. This latest collection of songs displays all their best qualities - in joyful and sombre mood, the secular and sacred combine to appeal to a wide audience and to all lovers of fine singing, exciting harmonies and sensitive arrangements. The work of contemporary Welsh composers is evident together with popular classics from further afield and it all adds up to the unique experience which is Glanaethwy. -
