Description
Cavanaugh / Time and Materials is a collaborative album from Los Angeles-via-Chicago MC Open Mike Eagle ["one of LA's smartest young voices," Los Angeles Times] and Chicago MC Serengeti [a member of Sisyphus alongside Son Lux, Sufjan Stevens].
It also features appearances from P.O.S., Busdriver and Hemlock Ernst [aka Future Islands frontman Samuel T. Herring].
LA Weekly has branded Open Mike Eagle as "rap's sharpest, funniest social critic", while Pitchfork voted his 2014 album 'Dark Comedy' as "one of the most compelling indie-rap listens of the year".
Serengeti has been described by the same publication as "vivid free-association wordbuilding and playing with the joys of repetition."
