  • Description

Cab Calloway was no ordinary band-leader - he danced around the stage, hair flopping wildly, conducting with an absurdly long baton, almost shouting his vocals. Calloway led a great band which featured the finest musicians, and played at the best clubs, like New York's famous Cotton Club.

Decades later, his apperance in the 1980 film "The Blues Brothers", essentially playing himself and featuring the old routines, brought him to the attention of a new, younger audience. Now you can enjoy 22 of his finest original recordings running almost 69 minutes, all superbly remastered, and of course including his biggest hits "Minnie The Moocher" and "Kickin' The Gong Around".
