Description
Brian Olive's name first came into the public eye as a founding guitarist/singer of the Greenhornes,and later as a member of the Soledad Brothers,for whom he provided saxophone and sundries under the pseudonym of Oliver Henry. This album,Brian's self-titled debut,is a breakout multicolored affair that takes musical and lyrical cues from the British psychedelic sixties,as well as the soul-pop hit factories of Memphis,and wanders through the erstwhile streets of the Ninth Ward.The sessions took place in Cincinnati,in what was once the basement vault of a pawn shop,and were produced,recorded and mixed on analog tape by Brian himself.Brian is accompanied by many friends (Greenhornes,Heartless Bastards) on the album; a touring band will be assembled with various members of the sessions. -
