Description
First released in 1976 on LP (OGD001/002) in abbreviated form, the double CD version from the 'Blue Notes - The Ogun Collection' box set from 2008 restored the previously released sections of music to their original context and contains virtually everything recorded by the seminal South African jazz group that day.
This music was recorded on 23rd December 1975 in a rehearsal room in London. It is the spontaneous tribute of four musicians who had assembled in London for the Memorial Service to their friend and former bandmate Mongezi Feza. No discussion took place beforehand and nothing was said during the session, save through the music.
