  • Description

180 gram red vinyl, limited edition, includes 2 bonus tracks and contains new specially prepared liner notes by Penguin Guide To Jazz's writer Brian Morton and by Paris' prestigious Jazz Magazine.

"Whether the Village Vanguard group could have topped or extended the achievements of June 1961 is a matterfor empty conjecture only. Evans continued to make great music for almost two more decades, but he must have known deep down that the summit was behind him." - Penguin Guide To Jazz

"Sadly, this is the final testimony of a group that would end with the sudden death of Scott LaFaro a few days after these recordings were taped. Waltz for Debby is one of those albums that allows you to discover something new with each listen." - Jazz Magazine

    Bill Evans: piano

    Scott LaFaro: bass

    Paul Motian: drums

Recorded live at the Village Vanguard, New York, June 25, 1961.
