Description
Ignacy Jan Paderewski is one of the greatest personalities of the world of culture and politics of the late 19th and first half of the 20th century. Multidirectional activity, charismatic personality and masterful piano playing have brought him international success and the admiration of his listeners. He also went down in the history of music as a talented composer. The most numerous group of his works are piano works, but Paderewski's songs are also quite popular - sophisticated, diverse, expressively and texturally rich. He wrote them to the poetry of Adam Mickiewicz and Adam Asnyk (whom he considered the greatest living Polish poet) and to the texts of French Parnassians: Theophile Gautier and Catulle Mendes.
The album contains a complete set of songs by Ignacy Jan Paderewski for voice and piano, interpreted by Anna Mikolajczyk-Niewiedzial and Marcin T. Lukaszewski. The recording was made by Andrzej Brzoska.
