Andreas Skouras (piano & harpsichord) presents four world premiere recordings on this new release from the NEOS label.
Composer Anders Eliasson was born in Borlänge, in Sweden's Dalarna province and learned to play the trumpet as a child, later establishing himself as a jazz bandleader. He went onto start formal music studies in Stockholm (Harmony and Counterpoint with Valdemar Söderholm) and studied Composition with Ingvar Lidholm and György Ligeti, publishing his first composition in 1970.
Andreas Skouras has made many recordings for the NEOS label, including the critically acclaimed Bernd Alois Zimmermann Complete Works for Piano Solo (NEOS11026) last year.
