Description
'Between The Moon and The Milkman' is the first full-length record from award-winning folk songwriter Amelia, whose distinctive voice and unique storytelling talent has seen her emerge at the forefront of an exciting new generation of alt-folk voices.
Having met producer Bill Ryder-Jones via English Folk Expo's Artist Mentoring Schemethey joined forces to transform Amelia's delicate ukulele arrangements into a sumptuous collection of tales that take in a whole host of characters met in the dark shadows of literature, late night film noir screenings and formative travels in unfamiliar lands whilst Tin Pan Alley melodies drift through time, touching on everything from the early European folk scene, candlelit cabaret jazz clubs and the psychedelic side of baroque pop music.
Already renowned as a spellbinding storyteller and captivating live performer, on her debut record 'Between The Moon and The Milkman' Amelia Coburn invites us to step into the world as she sees it, a world full of darkness and light and soundtracked by magic and melancholy.
Standard black LP in slipcase.
