Description
Alex Patterson's new music paints an intimate portrait of a particularly challenging moment, when a psychosomatic illness deprived her of her voice and threw her music career into doubt.
Patterson shares a spirit with those on the cusp between rock and folk in the 1990s -- Jeff Buckley or PJ Harvey, or the figurehead artists who headlined Sarah McLachlan's Lilith Fair movement. This is music free of place and time, with a hint of grunge in its romance
