Description
Poetry of the Deed - the third studio album from UK folk legend Frank Turner - gets a much deserved audiophile repress on vinyl.
The third album POTD was released in 2009. Where Frank's previous albums had been much more a solo effort with collaborations coming from friends and musicians, Poetry was written and recorded as a band. This marked a significant change in the singer songwriters musical output, spawning the singles 'Poetry Of The Deed', 'Try This At Home' and 'The Road'. The video for 'The Road' saw Frank play 24 shows in 24 hours, covering the majority of London playing in people's front rooms, offices, roof tops and back garden, culminating in a rammed gig at The Flowerpot in Kentish Town.
The successes of the third album included further Radio 1 daytime playlists, sessions with Zane Lowe and headlining a sold out show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire setting him firmly on the course we see him on today, as a headline act the world over.
The album is re-issued here on 180g black vinyl in newly artworked gatefold sleeve.
