Description
The YEKSAD folk ensemble perform a sweeping collection of Turkish Cypriot dances. Cyprus is an island in the eastern part of the Mediterranean, south of Turkey and west of Syria. The island has a temperate climate with hot, dry summers and cool winters. The traditional sounds of the Island include laid-back folk tunes, more rhythmic and upbeat ancient melodies and beautiful ensemble pieces performed on violin, flute, clarinet, guitar, accordion and darbuka (drum). Enjoy the sound of Northern Cyprus.
