The highlight of this album is the new edition of David Maslanka's Sonata. This is the premiere recording of the new edition, digitally engraved by his son Matthew Maslanka. All three sonatas are masterpieces among the classical saxophone repertoire, and Wonki Lee and Er-Hsuan Li present invigorating interpretations of these prodigious works, which will enrapture and entrance listeners.
